Divine Drive Program

Divine Drive is a program founded under the divine direction of Prophet Corey B. Caleb through Corey Barber Ministries. The program is dedicated to meeting the needs of God’s children within His Kingdom. Its primary purpose is to address challenges faced by two key groups in the business world: individuals from underprivileged backgrounds seeking hope and new opportunities, and business owners looking to retire or sell their businesses.

Many people, both young and old, from low-income or disadvantaged areas, have not had the chance to manage or own a business due to their circumstances. While multiple factors contribute to this reality, Divine Drive is committed to addressing these issues, starting with communities in Chicago, Illinois, and expanding both nationally and globally.

Our mission is to tackle this injustice, which not only affects these communities but also has wider implications for the national and global business environment. Across the country, millions of small business owners face difficulties in selling their successful and profitable businesses. With baby boomers owning over 50% of privately held businesses, and 10,000 retiring each day, it’s predicted that in the next 10-15 years, 12 million small businesses will be up for sale. However, only 15-30% of these businesses are expected to be sold. Divine Drive seeks to bridge this gap, creating meaningful opportunities for both business owners and aspiring managers or entrepreneurs.

The Divine Drive program is designed to empower our ministry through strategic mergers and acquisitions, allowing us to take ownership of multiple businesses. These businesses will serve various purposes aligned with God’s vision for the ministry. One key purpose is the Divine Drive hands-on management training program. Corey Barber Ministries will select three apprentices from low-income or underprivileged backgrounds who are hardworking, experienced, and eager for a higher-level opportunity in management or entrepreneurship.

The Divine Drive apprenticeship offers a unique 4-year program, leading to a Management-Chimistry degree upon completion. Over the four years, apprentices will develop crucial management and interpersonal skills. The first phase of the program includes a two-year internship where apprentices rotate through three businesses, spending 8 months in each as assistant managers. During this time, they will learn the details of management and operational procedures while earning a salary of $75K annually.

Once the first phase is successfully completed, apprentices will enter the second phase, which spans two years. In this phase, they will manage the day-to-day operations of one business for two years, reporting weekly to the general manager. They will receive a salary of $100K per year during this phase.

Upon completing the program with strong performance ratings from their managers, graduates will have the option to transition into a long-term management role or take steps toward acquiring their own business. The Divine Drive program not only provides life-changing opportunities for individuals who may not otherwise have them but also supports current business owners who wish to sell their successful companies.

This program serves as a pathway to new opportunities and a chance to make a significant impact in the lives of its participants, while also contributing to the expansion and sustainability of businesses within our ministry.
